So hey. Summer has been fantastic so far. I didn't think that this summer would be all that great, but having new friends and stuff to do brings it up a notch or two. The only upsetting thing about this summer would be the fact that my phone completely broke, and it's taking a while for me to get a new one. Anyway it's the Fourth Of July, today, and I take this holiday very seriously. We usually don't do much for this holiday, but this weekend we went on a fishing trip with some friends of ours. Surprisingly, it was pretty fun, and being on a boat made this fishing trip stand out from all the rest. I kinda didn't like the idea of a fishing trip at first, mostly because it was a thing we used to do in Arizona..It's hard to explain, but I didn't really want to replace that old idea of a "Let's Go Fishing!," day. Anyway, it went better than I thought it would for many reasons.. Independence Day, means a lot to me, because if you really think about it, our country is pretty damn awesome. I, for one, don't have any close friends or family members in the military, but I am very appreciative of their work. There was a fun little parade going around in our neighborhood, and there is a party going on down the street. I'm sitting here, eating a Popsicle and saying to myself that I really am lucky to be in a country like this.
