greetings greetings greetings. i couldn't think of what to write today because i have so much too write about. that was the most ironic thing i have ever said.let me just make a sidenote that i watched the movie "Swing Kids" today in my AP European History class, and while the movie was one of those movies that i hate just because it's so un-feel-good-y, i have, however, been fascinated with Swing music. so much so that i have a Youtube playlist of Swing music on right now. in the past thirty seconds i have decided to write about something that has just come up recently to me. i watch this show called 'imo' on a channel called Awesomeness TV on Youtube and the other day the girls that sit on the couch with crisp, clean style and way too much makeup talked about the subject of nude pictures. they brought up the point about being comfortable with your body and how you shouldn't care who sees your nude pictures anyway because you should be proud of your body. i can not begin to fathom how incredibly upset i am with anyone who holds that position. first of all, there is a huge difference with being comfortable in your own skin, dressing how you want, being who you want, and taking a picture of yourself without any clothes on and sending it to who knows who, who will send it who knows where. being proud of your imperfections is about embracing them and proving to yourself that you are beautiful and you deserve to be loved. some sixteen-year-old guy or pedophilic thirty-year-old man is NOT admiring your imperfections or determining whether or not you are beautiful. in fact, creeps that enjoy looking at nude pictures are looking at them for themselves and only themselves. those people are selfish and disgusting and you should never ever try to defend yourself or your body to people like that. no person, male or female, should have to defend their nude pictures with the phrase "oh, i'm happy with my body and proud of what i look like," because at the end of the day, no one is content with their body. there will always always always be things that you want to change about your appearance. people who look at nude pictures and distribute them without your consent have no right to violate your privacy. because to me, your body is your private being. your sacred temple. your home. i don't want to know what people who take nude pictures are thinking when they press that button to take the picture, but i have a feeling there is some doubt in there. that doubt you have in yourself as a human being will be intensified as a result of ridicule from those who receive those nude pictures. even if others believe your body is perfect, you surely don't. keep your body YOUR body and be proud of that body to yourself. you shouldn't need to defend your appearance to low-lives who don't give two-shits about what you have to say anyway. you shouldn't need to use pride in your body as an excuse. if you truly were proud of your self then you would want to only give away the treasure that is your body personally to someone that you think deserves it. in any event, i am as stressed as ever because i am picking my classes for junior year and i honestly have no idea what to do and how to get into college. every time i set myself on a certain school i switch it in the next week and i don't know what to do for my major and ahhhh. kaybye. oh also i changed the name of this blog. kaybye.
much love, Heather
