Fucking Monday. Seriously though, I don't think I'm ever more tired in my life than these bullshit days. First off before I get to the real topic of this post, I want to know why people are such dicks. Not just guys. If someone tells you not to do something, don't fucking do it. Simple as that. I don't know why people enjoy doing things that others will get angered by. Maybe they find it funny when the other person gets upset (my sister does) but when it's something as stupid as not eating your friend's cookie, I don't know why some people find it amusing to do the opposite. It just ticks me off all the time when I see people that think they're above everyone doing things to anger or upset another person. I know it's human nature mostly and the world isn't full of good people, but when it's something simple and stupid and you still do it, there's a problem. Anyway, I'm actually going to try and stay on the actual topic of this post. When someone tells you that they like your tiny heart shaped necklace and they call it "cute," you know something's wrong. I hate high school girls sometimes. I know I am one myself, but it's the way we look at everything. I don't like how people you barely know will comment on things about your appearance that you didn't necessarily pay much attention to when you were putting together your outfit. Sure it's nice once in a while to dress up nice, and sure it's nice to compliment someone on something they are wearing, and sure it's a good thing to not look like a slob most of the time but when you think about it, does it really matter? Why do people care so much about something that has no relevance to the world? If you are paying one-hundred dollars for a pair of jean shorts just so you can get a stare from that guy you like, or so you can get compliments from everyone, you need a reality check. I'm sure guys don't notice if your crop top is from Urban Outfitters, and I'm sure you won't get chosen for a college just because you are wearing a cardigan from Nordstrom's. Yeah, maybe if you come to school in sweatpants and a T-shirt with stains all over it everyday you might be viewed upon negatively by some people, but if you are the smartest person in the world all that won't matter. Girls make it a big deal about how guys are such douchebags because they judge girls on their bodies and not on their personality, but usually those are the girls that spend 50 dollars on a pair of leggings from Victoria's Secret and wear them with a bralette and squeaky clean Vans. People are such hypocrites and I'm sick of it. If you spend an hour in the morning to get ready for a day of high school then don't expect people not to judge you on your appearance. I wish girls weren't expected to look perfect every day, and I dream of a world where you can show up in sweatpants and a sweatshirt and not get thrown judging looks by other girls. If only girls didn't determine whether or not to hang out with you by how you look and guys didn't look for girls who flaunt their curves. Ask yourself this question, "what do you first notice on someone?" and if you say something that they can't control then you are inhumane. Unfortunately, society has turned us into appearance based people. I wonder when that first came about. The notion to always look nice. Sometimes your appearance covers up a good personality and that's what makes me most upset. I realize that looking good may give one confidence, but why can't we be confident in ourselves as people, rather than the way we appear to others. I know that most everyone who reads this will tell themselves that they don't care about appearances, but give yourself a reality check. Please let me know if you agree in my Say Something page because I need to know if there are still a few of us who hate the system left.
More later.
